What is the Scholarship Fair?
The National Music Scholarship Fair is a none-profit organization that creates a platform that allows music,vocal dance and string students the opportunity to apply and audition for several music scholarships at one time. Who can register for the fair? All graduating seniors can apply and audition. Juniors can attend the event but cannot audition. How do I register for the fair? To register, apply on line or print out the application and mail it in to the address at the top of the page along with a certified check or money order. How can I prepare for the fair? There are several clinicians listed on the site that's ready to assist you in preparing for the event, or ask your high school band director. Do I bring my own instrument to the fair? Yes, you must bring you own instrument and equipment to the fair. How many times can I audition? You can audition as many times as you like, for as many colleges you like, provided time allows. How much does it cost? The cost to register for seniors is $65.00 and $40.00 for juniors before March 1, 2009. The cost is $80.00 after March 1 and for all walk-ups. When is the Fair? The fair takes place on March 21, 2009 from 9:am - 5:pm Where is the Fair? The fair will be held at Lithonia High School located in Lithonia Ga. Can I wright a check for my registration? No personal checks are allowed. Can juniors attend the Fair? Yes, juniors can attend the fair for observation only. The registration fee for juniors is only $40.00. What colleges will attend the fair? The list of colleges will be posted March 1, 2009. Will __________ college attend the Fair? All colleges are invited to attend the fair, however some schools have scheduling conflicts and cannot attend. We suggest you check the list several times prior to March 14. How will I know if I received a scholarship? All the universities have been urged to issue "Letter's of Intent's" so student will know weather they received an actual scholarship or a consideration. Can I audition on more than one instrument? Yes, you can audition on more than one instrument but it is not encouraged. We suggest that students audition on there strongest instrument and make reference to all other instruments and talents.
